We have a fantastic opportunity for two Family Help Practitioners to join us, who are passionate about helping families make sustainable, positive changes before challenges escalate.

As a Family Help Practitioner, you'll work directly with children, young people and their families, delivering strengths-based interventions that build resilience, improve outcomes and reduce the need for ongoing statutory involvement.

Working as part of the Family Help Team, you'll carry a varied caseload, undertake whole-family assessments, coordinate Team Around the Family meetings and build strong partnerships with schools, health services, voluntary organisations and wider family networks. You'll play a vital role in ensuring children's voices are heard, supporting positive parenting, and empowering families to achieve lasting change.

What you'll be doing:

Delivering high-quality, strengths-based support and interventions to children, young people and families.
Completing whole-family assessments and co-producing outcome-focused Family Help Plans.
Acting as Lead Professional and coordinating Team Around the Family (TAF) meetings.
Building effective partnerships with education, health, police and voluntary sector colleagues.
Working creatively with children and young people to ensure their voices influence planning and decision-making.
Delivering practical support, parenting interventions and evidence-informed approaches to improve family resilience.
Supporting families experiencing challenges such as poverty, domestic abuse, mental health difficulties and substance misuse.
Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and championing inclusive practice for all families.

What we're looking for:

NVQ Level 3 in a relevant discipline or significant experience working with children and families.
Experience delivering direct interventions that improve outcomes for children, young people and families.
Knowledge of safeguarding, child development, early intervention and children's social care legislation.
Strong relationship-building, assessment, communication and report-writing skills.
The ability to work independently, manage complex situations and engage effectively with a wide range of partners and families.
