The Community Mental Health Service (CMHS) in Bracknell has an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Community Psychiatric Nurse to join our dynamic and multi-disciplinary team to provide advice, support and treatment to people and their carers.
The post holder will manage a caseload of clients receiving regular, injectable anti-psychotic medication (depots) and carry a small caseload as a ‘named worker’.

- To assess service user needs, plan effectively, monitor and evaluate interventions using evidence based practice which is relevant to individual needs and within a framework of research and audit.
- To participate in duty work on a regular basis.
- To establish and maintain good liaison with GP practices, and other physical and mental health services including other relevant agencies and organisations in the area.
- This post is not for usual care co-ordination but there is opportunity to begin learning about the role of the ‘named worker’ under the new CMHS model.
- Support of nursing students.
