Uniqa is looking for skilled technicians to fill various roles within our laboratory.
We are an award winning, family run lab based in the heart of Wimbledon, with over 15 years of expertise in high-quality dental restorations. We are passionate about combining traditional craftsmanship with cutting edge digital technology using the latest products and equipment.
Housed within a modern and spacious location, in a fully air conditioned space, we provide all of the latest machinery and technology for you to work with to create your best work.
The lab is easy to reach from across London, with direct train connections to Waterloo, Vauxhall, Clapham Junction, Earlsfield, and Richmond, plus London Underground and tram links.
We are currently looking for talented individuals across a range of roles, including:
DENTAL TECHNICIAN (5+ years experience)
- Excellent all rounder who can handle all types of cases, including but not limited to; fitting metal and zirconia, die prep (implants, abutments, bars and bridges), wax up, articulation, stents, pressing/casting.
- Selecting the appropriate material and keeping track of consumables.
- Refining including grinding, final cleaning and preparing the finished product for QC.
CERAMIST DENTAL TECHNICIAN (3+ years experience)
- Skilled ceramist with experience in ceramic layering, stain and glaze, small bridges, temp bridges, posterior crowns (zirconia, emax, cutbacks), single-unit implants, repairs and adjustments.
- Valid GDC registration is preferred but not required.
- Attention to detail following the specifications and instructions from dentists.
CAD/CAM DESIGNER (5+ years experience)
- Designing crowns, bridges, implants, dentures and other dental prosthetics on the CAD software working closely with our CAD technicians and the finishing team.
- Experience with 3Shape or Exocad is required.
- Collaborating with dentists, other dental technicians and lab managers to ensure the accuracy and quality of your work.
CAD/CAM MILLING TECHNICIAN
- General technical skills - you should be able to find your way around technology. Experience using computer aided manufacturing (CAM) software and hardware to create dental restorations and prostheses from digital designs is highly desirable, but not required.
- Experience with libraries within CAD/CAM software.
- Milling and occasionally 3D Printing following the specifications and instructions and performing quality checks to ensure the accuracy and quality of your work.
- Setting up, calibrating and operating 5-axis mills and potentially 3D printers (loading the design file and monitoring the fabrication process) ensuring the quality and accuracy of the final products.
Regardless of the role, we're looking for people who are detail oriented, passionate about their craft, and eager to grow. Right to work in the UK and working-level English are required for all positions.
