Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within various premises, ensuring a hygienic and welcoming environment for clients and staff alike. This role offers an opportunity to work in a professional setting, contributing to the overall standards of cleanliness and presentation. Prior experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. The position is paid and suitable for individuals who take pride in their work and possess a strong work ethic.

Duties

Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising surfaces
Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces according to health and safety standards
Restock supplies such as toiletries, cleaning products, and paper goods as needed
Ensure all cleaning equipment is used safely and maintained properly
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly
Follow organisational procedures for waste disposal and recycling
Adhere to health and safety protocols at all times during cleaning activities
Assist with specialised cleaning tasks when required, including carpet cleaning or window washing

Skills

Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is preferred but not mandatory
Strong attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and accuracy
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Physical stamina to perform repetitive cleaning duties throughout the shift
Reliable time management skills to ensure all duties are completed within scheduled hours
Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning practices
A positive attitude and willingness to learn new techniques or procedures

Pay: £13.00-£13.50 per hour
