Where is the work:

On-Site (5 days)

This role offers a combination of workshop-based fabrication and site installation work. Experience in TIG welding and pipework is valuable and provides the opportunity to contribute to a variety of practical, hands-on projects within a collaborative team environment.

The purpose of the role is to maximise productivity, enhance the customer experience, and support continuous improvement in operational technical processes.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose system issues during pipework installation and equipment testing
Carry out modifications, repairs, and installation adjustments to meet specific customer requirements, both on-site and within the depot
Collaborate with hire and service desks, Sales, and Operations teams to build strong communication channels and share relevant customer insights
Use advanced software, diagnostic technology, and a range of hand tools, while working from blueprints, isometric drawings, and engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair units
Communicate effectively with supervisors, regional hire and operations managers, senior technicians, and customers to provide updates and support continuous improvement

Technical Knowledge and Experience

Strong knowledge of, and experience in, pipefitting, TIG welding, or closely related mechanical fabrication work
Practical experience in stainless steel pipework fabrication and installation
Effective communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
High attention to detail
Proficiency in apps, diagnostic software, and Microsoft Office Suite

Skills and Capabilities

Knowledge of the manufacturing industry is advantageous
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a positive and collaborative approach
Relevant trade-based or technical certifications are advantageous
Gas Safe and F-Gas qualifications are advantageous
Flexibility to cover standby and call-out duties on a planned rota, including weekdays, weekends, and bank holidays
Full UK driving licence, as a company vehicle will be provided
Right to work in the country of application
