We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Care Assistants / Support Workers to join our bank team and play a vital role in delivering personalised, person-centred care to adults with everyday care needs, physical disabilities, and mental health needs.
Who you’ll be supporting
You’ll support adults aged 18+, including:
- People receiving everyday domiciliary care in their own homes
- Individuals living in supported living environments
- Adults with physical disabilities or long-term health conditions
- People with mental health needs
Every person is different. Your role is to ensure they feel safe, respected, listened to, and supported in their day to day lives.
What your role will involve
- Assisting with personal care (bathing, dressing, toileting, continence support)
- Supporting daily routines, meals, hydration, and household tasks
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Encouraging independence, dignity, and choice
- Supporting mobility and safe movement
- Assisting with medication in line with training, competency, and care plans
- Supporting the implementation of personalised care plans
- Maintaining accurate care records and reporting changes in health or wellbeing
- Communicating effectively with colleagues, families, and healthcare professionals
- Following safeguarding procedures and raising concerns appropriately
- Maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries
- Working safely in line with lone working and health & safety procedures
- Supporting individuals with appointments, community activities, or outings where required
Do I need experience?
Previous experience within domiciliary care, supported living or community care is highly desirable. We particularly welcome applications from carers who are confident in supporting individuals independently within community settings.
Full training, induction, and ongoing support will be provided.

What we’re looking for
Applicants must have:
- Right to Work in the UK
- A caring, respectful, and professional attitude
- Good communication skills in spoken and written English
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication
- Willingness to complete an Enhanced DBS check
- Commitment to completing induction, training, and onboarding requirements
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable, as the role may involve travel between people’s homes and community settings.

Reporting line
You’ll report to the Registered Manager / Care Coordinator, with support always available.
