We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Plumber/Gas Fitter to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Assisting with the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing and gas systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
- Using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out tasks efficiently and safely
- Supporting senior tradespeople in welding, assembly, and mechanical tasks as required
- Performing basic carpentry work related to plumbing installations and repairs
- Conducting measurements and calculations using basic maths to ensure accurate fitting and alignment
- Handling heavy lifting safely during the transportation and positioning of materials and equipment
- Maintaining a clean and organised work site to adhere to health and safety standards
- Assisting with the inspection of plumbing systems to identify faults or potential issues
- Participating in training sessions to develop specialised skills such as gas fitting procedures
Skills
- Basic knowledge of plumbing principles and systems
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and welding techniques
- Mechanical aptitude with an understanding of how various components fit together
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations
- Experience or familiarity with carpentry is advantageous
