The Marketing Advisor for In-Store Communications sits in the wider Marketing Instore Communications team. This team creates and manages in store point of sale from initial idea to printing.
In this role you will be responsible for receiving briefs and executing weekly promotional space and deal point of sale, category reset point of sale, trial and selected store point of sale and wider business briefs and initiatives. Therefore an understanding of the role of point of sale to drive sales and engagement is critical in addition to balancing key communications challenges and customer requirements. You will be required to work in a fast paced environment, reacting quickly to market and business changes, working hand in hand with both internal and external stakeholders to deliver on time and within budget.
Accountabilities:
Working with your marketing colleagues, retail operations and other key stakeholders to ensure that you take and understand briefs correctly in order to fully activate the in store marketing plans.
Working with your manager to understand wider in store marketing developments, competitor activities, key insights and to keep them informed of your BAU workload management.
Being an expert in print job processing using nominations forms, printer systems and artwork approval processes.
Being an active participant of a high performing, engaged and diverse teams, focused on compelling communication, service, sales and profitability
Working closely with retail and the marketing communications specialist to ensure communications to store is clear and concise to our store colleagues in delivering a successful execution of the POS
Working with compliance to ensure that all communication is legal, honest and truthful
Driving down cost and operational waste to ensure that ROI is maximised and savings found where possible –sending to print on time and without errors –challenging costs.
Accurately track the spend of your projects back to the relevant budget.
Work with our partners to drive simplification and innovation with a cost conscious mindset.
Actively participate in a high performing, engaged team – championing teamwork and contributing to team tasks.
Listen to customers and colleagues and respond quickly.
Support across the team implementing store mock ups, completing competitor visits and supporting with store queries.

Knowledge
Strong interest of retail and shopper behaviour; how customers behave, what drives sales and captures attention (path to purchase, decisions hierarchies)
Understanding of POS and print production; assets, materials, production plans and constraints is desirable, desire to learn is essential
Skills
Strategic thinking; understand where POS shows up in store
Project and campaign management; ability to manage multiple workstreams at one time end to end, escalating anticipated challenge to managers
Ability to work under high pressure, in a fast paced environment and to tight deadlines with a very high degree of accuracy
Budget tracking and cost approval
Stakeholder management - this role would be in constant co-ordination with Retail, Commercial, Marketing, Creative teams and agency partners
Strong relationship building skills with the ability to influence upwards.
