Full Job Description
The Mobile Warden Patrol Officer is responsible for patrolling a designated regional area, visiting multiple client sites in accordance with a planned patrol schedule. The role is to ensure compliance with site parking regulations, maintain a visible professional presence, and provide excellent standards of service to both clients and the public.
This is predominantly an evening shift position, providing essential regional coverage during key operational hours. The successful candidate will be expected to work independently, demonstrate excellent time management, and maintain high standards of professionalism at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Patrol various client sites within a designated area in accordance with planned patrol routes.
- Carry out patrols in an efficient and organised manner to maximise productivity and operational performance.
- Monitor sites for unauthorised vehicles and parking contraventions.
- Issue Parking Charge Notices (PCNs) where vehicles are found to be in breach of site terms and conditions, ensuring all evidence is gathered accurately and in accordance with company procedures.
- Record all patrol activity accurately using company systems and handheld devices.
- Identify and report any site damage, defects, or Health & Safety concerns to Head Office promptly.
- Immediately report any issues that could present a risk to members of the public or compromise site safety.
- Maintain a professional, courteous and customer-focused approach when dealing with members of the public, clients, and colleagues.
- Represent UKCPS professionally at all times, maintaining excellent standards of appearance and conduct.
- Wear the full company-issued uniform and appropriate PPE during all working hours.
- Ensure punctual attendance for all scheduled shifts.
- Complete weekly timesheets accurately and submit them within required deadlines.
- Carry out regular vehicle inspections and complete weekly company vehicle checks, reporting any defects immediately.
- Maintain the cleanliness and roadworthiness of the company vehicle.
- Follow published rotas and work flexibly to meet operational requirements.
- Provide additional cover for colleagues during periods of annual leave, sickness, or other absences where reasonably possible.
- Participate in ongoing training, development and refresher programmes to ensure compliance with company procedures, legislation and industry best practice.
- Comply with all company policies, Health & Safety procedures, and relevant legislation at all times.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Full UK driving licence.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional, confident and courteous manner.
- Reliable, punctual and dependable.
- Basic IT skills and ability to use handheld devices or mobile applications.
- Ability to make fair, consistent and objective decisions in accordance with company procedures.
Desirable
- Previous experience in parking enforcement, security, patrol services or a similar field-based role.
- Customer service experience.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety principles.
- Familiarity with evidence gathering and reporting systems.
Working Hours
This role is predominantly based on evening shifts, which form a key part of UKCPS's regional operational coverage. Flexibility is essential, and additional hours or shift changes may occasionally be required to meet business needs.
45 hours per week, over 5 days, primarily evening shifts
