Eastlight has a Permanent, full time opportunity for an Income Manager aiming to enhance the well-being of our residents!
As an Income Manager at Eastlight, you will be responsible for managing rent accounts and reducing arrears across a designated housing patch.
You'll help residents sustain their tenancies, access financial support and overcome barriers that put their homes at risk. You'll combine strong income recovery skills with a customer-focused approach, helping us collect vital income while supporting residents through challenging circumstances.
You'll take a proactive and customer-focused approach to income collection across mixed tenure types, balancing effective debt recovery with tenancy sustainment and financial inclusion.
You'll manage your own patch, making informed decisions on recovery actions, repayment arrangements and partnership/ support referrals.
Please note this is not a line management position.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a patch of properties, ensuring arrears are monitored and recovered effectively
- Contacting tenants to discuss arrears and agree sustainable repayment arrangements
- Taking appropriate legal action where necessary, including preparing cases for court and enforcement action
- Providing basic advice on welfare benefits and signposting to other agencies for support
- Working closely with internal teams and external agencies to support vulnerable tenants
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience of income collection, arrears management or debt recovery.
- Understands social housing, welfare benefits and tenancy management.
- Can confidently manage challenging conversations while maintaining empathy and professionalism.
- Has experience of legal recovery processes, including court preparation and attendance.
- Is organised, resilient and able to manage a varied caseload.
- Builds positive relationships with residents and partner agencies.

- £38,333 annual base salary + £2,200 p/a car allowance
