Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Event Assistant to join our team at the Secret Forest children's walk with cafe. The Event Assistant will assist running the Cafe, Managing tickets/entry to the walk, woodland trail checks and managing health and safety. This role requires excellent communication and organisational skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for a friendly outgoing individual with the ability to work on their own or part of a team. Previous experience in a cafe/food environment is preferred.

The Secret Forest is nestled within the enchanting grounds of Hazlewood Castle, a whimsical woodland trail designed to ignite the imaginations of young explorers. Step into a world where every corner holds a new adventure, from playful hideaways to mystical encounters.

Duties:

- Checking tickets on entry to the trail

- Serving Food, Drink and merchandise from the kiosk at the entrance to the trail

- Opening and closing the trail on a morning and evening

- Keeping all areas clean and tidy

- Taking payments for on the day sales

- Coordinating visitors

The opening dates are as follows:

Every weekend from April until the end of September

Easter Holidays - Saturday 28th March - Sunday 19th April

May Half Term - Saturday 23rd May - Friday 29th May

Summer Holidays - Saturday 18th July - Sunday September 6th (Wednesday - Monday)

Experience:

- Previous experience in a cafe/food environment is preferred

- Previous experience in working in a similar environment is preferred but not essential
