We are currently recruiting for a talented and motivated Human Resources Administrator to join our exceptional HR Services team here at Bradford College.
The HR Administrator is an integral part of the HR Team and is responsible for providing an adaptive, timely and compliant HR Administration service across the whole HR team in line with best practice, and relevant policies and procedures.
As the HR Administrator you will reinforce the behaviours and values of the College, and collaborate effectively with your HR colleagues to provide an exceptional provision of administrative functions and HR support across all areas of the College.
This will facilitate exceptional outcomes to our students, which will ultimately enable the college to achieve its vision of becoming an ‘employer of choice’.
Responsibilities include:
Supports the work of the HR department to provide an exceptional provision of HR administrative functions across all areas of the College and all groups of staff.
Provides an initial response for general queries received into the HR Department, records appropriately, and provides to the relevant member of the HR team to resolve.
Supports with ensuring the On-boarding and College Induction process is current and is delivered to all new employees
Supports with the monitoring and recording of pre-employment checks for new hires.
Accurately maintains the HR Data Base and updates employment records as necessary, particularly ensuring holiday and sickness records are accurate and current.
Produces all correspondence and provides all relevant documentation to support key HR processes such as contractual issues throughout the employee life cycle, recruitment, employee relations, case management, meetings, hearings and Union issues including taking minutes at meetings.
Manages and updates HR Trackers and On-boarding systems as necessary.
Works collaboratively across the team to actively promote a professional team working environment focused on providing excellence in quality, efficiency and a ‘right first time’ service, where all the required administrative resources and information are available to hand and are maintained to a high standard
Provides support on ad hoc projects when required across the College programme areas and central service functions, including business restructuring and continuous improvement activities.
Hybrid working is negotiable for this role. This means you may be able to work a proportion of your time on campus and some remotely. We are open to discussing this with you during the application process as we recognise the benefits and importance of an environment that supports flexible working.

Education & Training
GCSE 4-9 (A*-c) or nationally recognised level 2 qualification in maths or equivalent (e.g. CSE 1, O Level A-C)
GCSE 4-9 (A*-c) or nationally recognised level 2 qualification in English or equivalent (e.g. CSE 1, O Level A-C)
Experience
Previous experience of administrative work in a high pressure, fast paced environment, preferably HR, and is comfortable with a busy and varied workload.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Understands the importance of accuracy and ‘getting it right first time.’
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an enthusiastic and positive approach.
