About the Position
We are currently seeking a Packing Operative to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract, with the potential for a permanent role upon completion.
This position plays a key role in preparing finished goods for warehouse storage and dispatch, ensuring all packaging and labelling processes are completed accurately and efficiently to the highest standard.
Responsibilities
- Examine and inspect completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications.
- Print all required labels, ensuring documentation is completed accurately and appropriately stored and logged.
- Assemble, label, and package the organisation’s products.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with Health & Safety legislation and company SOPs and work instructions, in accordance with the QMS.
- Suggest and implement cost-saving and process improvement initiatives.
- Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching to existing team members.
- Perform related duties as required by operational needs.
- Report any problems or issues promptly to a Manufacturing Supervisor.
