Sales Administrator

Poole MG Main Dealer

Penton Motor Group has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Sales Administrator to join our friendly team at our busy Poole dealership.

We are a family-run, forward-thinking main dealer group, and our Poole site is a fast-growing MG dealership with over 600 new and used vehicles held in group stock, along with busy workshop and parts departments on site.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a busy administration role, has excellent attention to detail and wants to be part of a supportive and professional motor trade team.

About the role

As Sales Administrator, you will play an important role in supporting our Sales Managers and Sales Executives with the smooth running of the sales administration process.

You will assist with all aspects of sales administration for both retail and trade sales, ensuring records are accurate, processes are completed on time and information is updated correctly across our systems and group spreadsheets.

The role will be based at our Poole dealership, but you will also offer support and assistance to our Sales Administration teams across the wider Penton Motor Group.

Key responsibilities

Your duties will include:

Supporting the Sales Managers and Sales Executives with day-to-day administration.
Processing retail and trade vehicle sales accurately and efficiently.
Updating internal systems and group spreadsheets.
Ensuring sales paperwork is completed correctly and on time.
Assisting with vehicle stock records and administration.
Liaising with colleagues across Sales, Accounts and other departments.
Helping to ensure a smooth and professional process for customers and the sales team.
Providing administration support to other Sales Administrators across the group when required.

What we are looking for

Ideally, you will have previous experience as an administrator within the motor trade. Knowledge of Pinewood DMS would be an advantage, although full training will be provided.

You will need to be:

Organised and methodical in your approach.
Accurate, with excellent attention to detail.
Confident using spreadsheets and computer systems.
A good communicator.
Able to manage a busy workload and prioritise tasks.
Positive, reliable and willing to work as part of a team.

Previous motor trade administration experience would be preferred, but we would also welcome applications from strong administrators who are keen to learn and develop within the industry.

Hours and salary

Monday to Friday.
8:30am to 5:00pm.
Part-time hours may be considered.
Salary range: £25,000–£28,000 depending on experience.
