Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and friendly Receptionist/Administrator to join our care home team! In this vital role, you will be the welcoming face of our home, ensuring efficient organisation of phone calls from resident’s relatives, outside professionals, sales calls and general enquiries. Your enthusiasm and organisational skills will help create a positive environment for visitors, clients, and colleagues alike. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your office experience while contributing to a friendly and homely workplace culture.

Duties

Greet visitors and clients warmly, providing excellent customer service and directing them appropriately
Manage incoming calls, taking messages or transferring calls efficiently
Maintain a tidy and professional reception area, ensuring it reflects the home’s welcoming atmosphere
Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, scheduling appointments, and managing correspondence
Support office operations by ordering supplies, coordinating mail distribution, and assisting with event preparations
Keep accurate records of visitor logs, deliveries, and other essential documentation

Experience

Previous office experience or administrative experience is preferable
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
Excellent communication skills—friendly, clear, and professional in all interactions
Proficiency in office software such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
