About Us
Flare Electrical & Solar Contractors is a specialist electrical and renewables contractor
delivering fast paced commercial LED lighting upgrades and large scale solar PV
installations across Education, Healthcare, Public Sector, Retail & Private. We’ve been doing
this since 2015 and we’re growing fast throughout the south.
On the LED side, we work at pace — upgrades are carried out, out of hours to keep
disruption to a minimum, which means a different rhythm to your average electrical job. On
the whole we work evenings during school terms and day shifts out of term times. On solar,
we install everything from 10kW rooftop systems to 20MW ground-mounted farms. It’s all-
weather, physically demanding work in a sector that’s only going one direction. Both
divisions are busy, both are rewarding, and both will push you to develop quickly. We
provide clear progression paths for all employees.
The Role
We’re looking for electrical improvers who want a proper route into the trade. Whether your
interest is in LED lighting or solar PV, we want to hear from you — we’ll assess every
applicant on their own merits and match the right people to the right teams.
You’ll be working alongside experienced installers and electricians on live commercial
projects, getting hands-on from day one. Panel mounting, cable pulls, containment, lighting
installations, AC/DC cabling, site set-up and safety — you’ll cover it all as you build your
skills and confidence.
We are looking for anyone from Level 2 upwards to NVQ lvl 3 – but all qualifications are
assessed and trials are preferred to ensure your placement suits yourself and the company.
