Overview
We are seeking a skilled Sewing Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating sewing machines and a keen eye for detail to produce high-quality products. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in sewing and warehouse experience to develop their skills within a dynamic environment. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring that all sewn items meet our quality standards while adhering to production deadlines.

Wage rate is basic pay £14.36 plus incentives.

Responsibilities

Operate various types of sewing machines to assemble and finish products according to specifications
Inspect finished garments or items for defects, ensuring quality standards are met
Maintain and troubleshoot sewing equipment to minimise downtime
Follow detailed work instructions and production schedules
Assist with inventory management and organisation within the warehouse setting
Ensure work area remains clean, organised, and safe at all times
Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets

Skills

Proven experience with sewing, preferably in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
Strong attention to detail and precision in work output
Ability to operate different types of sewing machines efficiently
Good organisational skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
Basic understanding of warehouse procedures is advantageous
Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team

This position is suitable for individuals who are organised, reliable, and passionate about producing quality sewn products. Prior experience in warehouse settings combined with sewing skills will be highly valued.

Pay: £14.36 per hour
