Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Assistant Head Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support the Head Chef in leading kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, and maintaining a lively, efficient environment. Duties

Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, including supervising staff and coordinating food preparation activities
Lead by example in cooking and food production, ensuring dishes meet quality standards and presentation expectations
Oversee food safety practices, hygiene standards, and proper storage procedures to comply with health regulations
Support team management by training staff, delegating tasks, and fostering a positive work environment
Contribute to menu development, recipe creation, and innovation to keep offerings fresh and exciting
Ensure timely service by coordinating with front-of-house teams and managing kitchen workflow efficiently
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area to promote safety and operational excellence

Qualifications

Proven supervising experience in a busy restaurant or hospitality setting
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and culinary techniques
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
Extensive kitchen experience with a focus on food safety and hygiene standards
Excellent understanding of restaurant operations, including serving procedures and customer service principles
Knowledge of food production processes, menu planning, and ingredient management
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
