We are a busy and growing metal fabrication company looking to recruit a Robotic Welder to join our production team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with good educational skills and an interest in engineering or manufacturing to develop a long-term career in fabrication / welding.No previous robotic welding experience is required, as full training will be provided on our automated welding systems and production processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate robotic welding cells within a fabrication / welding environment (full training provided)
- Load and unload steel and metal components onto welding fixtures
- Monitor automated welding processes to ensure consistent quality and accuracy
- Carry out basic visual inspections of welded parts
- Support general welding production tasks when required
- Follow engineering drawings and work instructions (training provided)
- Maintain high standards of health and safety at all times
- Keep work areas clean, organised, and efficient
Training Provided
- Full training on robotic welding equipment and cell operation including programming
- Understanding fabrication drawings and job specifications
- Quality control and inspection procedures
- Health and safety in a fabrication environment
- Ongoing support and development from experienced engineers
Person Specification
- Good educational background (GCSEs or equivalent, especially Maths and English)
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn technical skills
- Ability to follow instructions accurately
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Interest in metal fabrication, welding, or engineering is advantageous but not essential
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Previous experience in welding, manufacturing, or workshop environments
- Basic mechanical or technical understanding
- Experience working with tools or machinery
