We are currently looking to recruit a Part Time Plumbing & Water Hygiene Engineer to undertake a range of Legionella remedial / light commercial plumbing works and water hygiene tasks while working remotely from our office in Port Talbot, South Wales.

Full Time Salary: £28,000 – £33,000 per year - PRO RATA : Part Time (depending on skills and experience)
Note - If the full-time salary range is £28,000 to £34,000, then the 3 days (24hrs) per week pro rata salary would be:
- £16,800 per year (based on £28,000 full-time)
- £20,400 per year (based on £34,000 full-time)
Holiday: 16.8 days per annum including bank holidays (where applicable)

+1 extra day after 3 years’ service, capped at 20 days

Work is predominantly across South & West Wales, with occasional support needed in North Wales and the South West
Role managed from our Port Talbot office
Responsibilities
Carry out Legionella, water hygiene, and plumbing remedial works in accordance with ACoP L8, Water Fittings Regulations, G3 standards, and HSG 274 guidance, including:
- Installation of vented / unvented hot water heaters up to 400L
- Installation, replacement and upgrades of cold water storage tanks
- Pipework modifications, valve replacements and system upgrades
- TMV installation, replacement and servicing
- Expansion vessel installation and maintenance
- Water tank upgrades and replacements including relining
- RPZ valve installation, commissioning and servicing
Assist with water hygiene monitoring tasks where required, including:
- Temperature monitoring
- Water sampling
- Shower head cleaning and disinfection
- Water tank / calorifier inspections and cleaning / disinfection
Additional responsibilities include:
- Represent Morgan Environmental Ltd professionally on customer sites
- Maintain customer ZetaSafe online logbooks in line with ACoP L8 and HSG 274 guidance when required
- Complete detailed client plumbing service visit reports outlining works carried out
- Complete all documentation accurately and promptly, managing any follow-up queries
- Communicate effectively each day with onsite staff and office personnel
- Maintain adequate stock of plumbing materials and equipment in the company vehicle
- Follow RAMS, job sheets and customer instructions
- Complete electronic vehicle checks and report any damage/issues to your line manager
- Maintain company equipment in good condition
- Build and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, suppliers and customers
- Take personal responsibility for health & safety
- Report hazards, accidents, incidents and near-misses promptly
- Follow all safe working procedures and correctly wear PPE
- Undertake any other reasonable task required by management
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
NVQ Level 2 Plumbing
G3 Unvented Hot Water qualification
Experience carrying out Legionella plumbing remedial works and TMV installations / servicing
Experience working within the commercial plumbing sector
Competent using press-fit plumbing tool
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Excellent customer service skills
