Summary
We are seeking a dedicated QA and Laboratory Technician to join our team at Pattemores Transport in the GB. This role is vital for ensuring the quality and safety of our dairy ingredients, supporting our commitment to excellence in food manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
Laboratory Testing & Sample Preparation
- Prepare and test collected samples according to agreed schedules and frequency.
- Ensure all testing is carried out accurately and in line with company procedures and quality standards.
- Record and maintain accurate laboratory data for traceability and reporting purposes.
Data Management & Reporting
- Input test results and relevant data into laboratory databases in a timely manner.
- Report findings clearly and accurately to the Quality Manager.
- Maintain organised and up-to-date laboratory records to support audits and compliance.
Equipment Maintenance & Calibration
- Ensure all laboratory equipment is functioning correctly and within calibration requirements.
- Identify and report faulty or out-of-calibration equipment to the Quality Manager.
- Assist in arranging maintenance, repairs, or replacement of laboratory equipment as needed.
Quality Assurance Support
- Carry out additional QA duties in line with the agreed schedule.
- Monitor quality standards and communicate any deviations or concerns to the Quality Manager.
- Support investigations into quality issues and assist with corrective actions where required.
Stock Control & General Support
- Assist with laboratory stock control, including monitoring consumables and reporting low stock levels.
- Support co-workers with tasks and duties as required to ensure smooth operations.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and organised laboratory environment.
Customer Focus

Additional Duties

Typical shift pattern will be Sunday - Thursday 6am - 4pm

Experience:
- Microbiological and chemical testing: 1 year (preferred)
