The Role

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Office Manager to oversee the smooth running of our office operations. This role combines administration, HR support, and operational coordination, and is ideally suited to someone with experience in the M&E or construction sector.

Working Hours – 9am – 5pm – Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day office operations and ensure efficiency across all functions
Coordinate schedules, meetings, and project documentation
Maintain accurate records, systems, and filing (digital and physical)
Support senior management with administrative tasks
Act as the main point of contact for suppliers and contractors

HR & People Management

Support recruitment, onboarding, and employee records
Maintain HR documentation, policies, and compliance
Monitor attendance, holidays, and staff records
Assist with performance processes and employee communications
Liaise with external HR advisors as required

Financial & Operational Support

Assist with invoicing, purchase orders, and expense tracking
Manage office budgets and supplier accounts
Support project teams with admin related to M&E works

Experience & Qualifications

Proven experience as an Office Manager or Senior Administrator
Background in supporting Mechanical or Electrical (M&E), construction, or engineering company.
Strong organisational and multitasking skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Confident working with Microsoft Office and admin systems
Knowledge of HR processes and employment administration
Ability to work independently and take initiative

Desirable

Experience supporting project-based environments
Familiarity with compliance and health & safety documentation
Basic understanding of accounting or finance processes

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
