Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Laundry Attendant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently handling the washing, drying, and folding of linens, towels, and other textiles to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. Previous hotel experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided. Responsibilities
- Collect and sort laundry items according to type and colour.
- Operate laundry equipment such as washers and dryers safely and efficiently.
- Ensure all laundry is cleaned, dried, folded, and stored correctly in designated areas.
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area, ensuring all equipment is kept in good working order.
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to prevent accidents or contamination.
- Assist with special requests or urgent laundry needs as required.
- Keep accurate records of laundry processed and report any issues or equipment malfunctions promptly.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks comfortably.
- Willingness to follow health and safety procedures diligently.
