IML UK Ltd are looking for an experienced Nightshift CNC Machinist / Setter / Operator to join our team in Weymouth, Dorset.
This is a full-time night shift position working 39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday. The role offers a night shift enhancement of time and a third, along with pension and overtime opportunities.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and operating CNC turning and milling machines to produce high-quality precision components.
You will be working with a range of CNC machinery including Fanuc lathes, Citizen sliding head lathes, Heidenhain mills, and DMG mills.
Duties will include
- Setting and operating CNC lathes and milling machines
- Working from engineering drawings and job instructions
- Producing precision machined components to specification
- Checking parts using appropriate measuring equipment
- Making offsets and adjustments where required
- Maintaining quality standards throughout production
- Keeping machines and work areas clean, safe, and organised
- Working efficiently as part of the night shift team
Skills and Experience Required
- Previous CNC setting and operating experience
- Turning and milling experience
- Experience with Fanuc lathes
- Experience with Citizen sliding head lathes would be advantageous
- Experience with Heidenhain and DMG milling machines would be advantageous
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Good attention to detail and a strong focus on quality
- Ability to work independently on night shift
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
