Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive culinary expertise, and a deep understanding of food safety standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, from menu development to staff management, ensuring the highest quality standards are maintained at all times.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow
Lead and supervise the culinary team, including chefs and kitchen staff
Develop innovative menus that reflect current trends and customer preferences
Ensure all food production meets high standards of quality, presentation, and taste
Manage food preparation and cooking processes to optimise efficiency and consistency
Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control costs effectively
Provide training and mentorship to team members to foster professional growth
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Uphold a positive working environment that promotes teamwork and high morale

Skills

Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen environment
Extensive food production and culinary expertise across various cuisines
Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team
Excellent food preparation and cooking skills with attention to detail
In-depth knowledge of kitchen equipment, techniques, and best practices in food safety
Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable
Leadership qualities with the ability to organise tasks efficiently under pressure
Competence in serving customers directly when required
Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with staff and suppliers
