Here at GXO Coventry we are looking for Drivers Mate to join our transport team, supporting our customer Halfords. You’ll play a key part in keeping the supply chain flowing smoothly in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.

You will be working on a full-time, permanent basis, on an ‘Any 5 days from7’ pattern, with start time window of 02:00 to 04:00, contracted to 48 hours per week.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

Assist the driver with multidrop deliveries, supporting up to 6 drops per shift and helping to collect returns from stores in line with operational needs
Help with the safe and efficient handling of palletised goods and cages, including loading and unloading at each delivery point
Maintain clear communication with the driver and Depot Transport Office, ensuring any issues are reported promptly while delivering excellent, courteous customer service
Support safe and compliant operations by following company procedures and assisting with accurate completion of required paperwork

What you need to succeed at GXO:

Previous experience supporting multidrop deliveries is preferred but not essential
Strong customer service skills with clear and professional communication
Comfortable carrying out manual handling tasks including lifting, pulling and pushing
Positive, can-do attitude with a proactive and reliable approach to work
