Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Control Manager to oversee and coordinate project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and reporting activities across multiple programmes. The successful candidate will utilise advanced project management tools and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This role demands strong leadership, organisational skills, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams effectively. The Project Control Manager will play a pivotal role in driving project success through meticulous control and strategic analysis.

Duties

Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules using tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Project Server.
Lead requirements gathering sessions to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
Conduct root cause analysis to identify project risks, delays, or issues and implement corrective actions.
Oversee cost control measures by analysing project budgets and financial data using SAS or other analytics tools.
Manage team members responsible for data analysis, reporting, and documentation through platforms like SharePoint, Confluence, and ServiceNow.
Utilise ERP systems such as Workday or Salesforce for resource planning and management.
Prepare comprehensive progress reports and presentations for senior management using Visio or other presentation software.
Facilitate communication across teams through collaboration tools like Slack or Smartsheet while ensuring alignment with project management frameworks such as SAFe or Waterfall.
Implement programme controls by tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), schedule variances, and resource utilisation.
Lead meetings to review project status, risks, and issues; ensure timely escalation of critical concerns.
Support product development initiatives by coordinating with product managers and content management systems.

Requirements

Proven supervising experience in project control or programme management roles.
Strong leadership capabilities with excellent team management skills.
Proficiency in project management software including Primavera P6, MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet, and Microsoft Project.
Extensive experience with requirements gathering, risk analysis (root cause analysis), and data analysis skills.
Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as Workday or Salesforce is desirable.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
Effective communication skills for presenting complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
Knowledge of programme management methodologies including SAFe, Waterfall; experience with content management systems is advantageous.
Ability to utilise tools such as Visio for process mapping and SharePoint for document control.
Strong understanding of project controls principles including cost control, schedule management, and scope definition.
