Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers with a focus on commercial driving and delivery operations. The position requires a high level of responsibility, adherence to safety standards, and excellent driving skills.

Based in lincolnshire &primarily working out of immingham Ports . This will require nights out ‘Weekly pay

Please note, we will not out base the vehicle

Duties

Operate lorries to deliver goods across various locations in a timely manner
Ensure all cargo is securely loaded and properly secured for transit
Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain safety standards
Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
Follow all road safety regulations and company policies during driving operations
Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered
Assist with loading and unloading when necessary, ensuring proper handling of goods
Adhere to scheduled routes and delivery times, demonstrating organisational skills and punctuality

Experience

experience in commercial driving, particularly with ferry trailers & low loaders vehicles or similar equipment
Delivery driver experience preferred, with a strong understanding of logistics and route planning
Valid HGV Class 1 licence (C+E entitlement) is essential
Familiarity with road safety regulations and best practices for commercial driving
Experience with flatbed operations is highly desirable, along with knowledge of securing cargo safely
Demonstrated ability to operate large vehicles responsibly over long distances and varied terrains
