Nelipak Elsham is looking for a Trainee Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. This is an exciting opportunity to learn a skilled profession within the medical packaging industry while working for a global business that supplies many of the world's leading medical device and pharmaceutical companies.
No previous manufacturing experience is required - we're looking for enthusiastic individuals with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and a commitment to producing work to the highest standards.
Earn While You Learn
As part of this role, you'll complete a structured workplace training programme leading to a nationally recognised qualification.
You'll learn from experienced Machine Operators while gaining practical, hands-on experience every day, meaning there's no requirement to attend college or travel off-site.
What You'll Be Doing
Working alongside experienced Machine Operators, you'll gradually learn every aspect of the manufacturing process, including:
- Operating specialist production machinery safely and efficiently.
- Producing high-quality flexible packaging for the healthcare industry.
- Assisting with machine set-ups and product changeovers.
- Carrying out quality inspections and product checks.
- Recording production and quality information accurately.
- Learning manufacturing processes, machine settings and process controls.
- Supporting continuous improvement activities.
- Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards.
- Following Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental procedures at all times.
- Working as part of a supportive production team to achieve daily production targets.
As your knowledge and confidence grow, you'll take on greater responsibility and work towards becoming a fully trained Machine Operator.

Entry Requirements
GCSE Grade 4 (C) or above (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
GCSE Grade 4 (C) or above (or equivalent) in one or more of the following:
- Combined Science
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Design & Technology
- Engineering
- Computer Science

Additional Information
Location: The Flarepath, Elsham Wold Industrial Estate, Brigg, North Lincolnshire, DN20 0SP
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
Please note: Due to the location of our site and limited public transport links, applicants should have reliable transport to travel to and from work.
