Role Purpose
As a Club Experience Assistant, you play a key role in creating a comfortable, clean, supportive and well-presented space for our members. Through light cleaning, visible presence and proactive support, you help ensure everything is available in the right place at the right time so that every member visit counts. You are a supportive Total Fitness ambassador on the gym floor and in shared spaces, ready to support members when they need help, guidance or reassurance
Key Responsibilities
1. Member Success & Visible Support – You’re in the wings.
- You help members feel confident using our spaces, particularly during first visits or moments of uncertainty.
- You acknowledge members and guests, ensuring they feel comfortable in our spaces wherever and whoever they are.
- Maintain a visible presence across the club, offering support and answering questions when needed.
- Assist with general enquiries about facilities, classes and timetables, using our AI agents to ensure enquiries are resolved without unnecessary hand-offs.
- Help create a supportive, comfortable and reassuring atmosphere, particularly for new or less confident members.
2. Club Experience & Light Cleaning
- You help keep the club clean, safe and welcoming at all times.
- Carry out light cleaning tasks across member-facing areas, supporting high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- Complete regular walkthroughs to ensure equipment and spaces are clean, tidy and ready to use.
- Restock consumables such as paper towels, sanitising spray and soap.
- Report maintenance, cleanliness or health & safety concerns promptly to the relevant manager.
- You ensure everything is in the right place at the right time so that every member visit counts.
3. Product & Service Awareness
- You build knowledge to support confident conversations with members.
- Develop a good understanding of Total Fitness products, services and membership features.
- Make effective use of our AI agents and support other team members to do the same.
- Keep up to date with class timetables, gym activities and club communications.
- Signpost members to appropriate teams or services when additional support is needed.
4. Brand Ambassadorship & Feedback
- You represent Total Fitness values through your everyday actions.
- Champion the Total Fitness brand by emulating and delivering our customer promises.
- Help members feel at ease by being visible, approachable and alert to their needs.
- Share informal member feedback and share insights with the Club Experience Manager to support continuous improvement

- Experience working in a customer‑facing environment where great service mattered.
- A friendly, proactive and approachable manner.
- High personal standards and attention to cleanliness and presentation.
- Ability to manage tasks independently while working as part of a team in a busy environment.
This role may also suit you if you bring
- Experience in fitness, leisure, hospitality or retail environments.

Pay: Up to £12.71 per hour
