The Role
Do you have a strong administrative background with a passion for compliance, organisation, health & safety, and operational support?
We are looking for a proactive and highly organised Compliance, Health & Safety & Training Assistant to support our growing telecommunications and civils business. This is a varied and fast-paced role supporting operational teams across multiple areas of the business including compliance administration, fleet coordination, health & safety records, training management, and general operational support.
You will become an essential part of the operational support team, helping to maintain high standards of compliance and organisation across the company. The role will involve working closely with Managers, Engineers, Subcontractors, and Office Staff to ensure records, training, vehicle compliance, and documentation are maintained accurately and efficiently.
The role will also require regular travel to MOD and operational sites to support audits, inspections, compliance checks, and operational requirements as well as being an office-based role within a supportive and growing team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance & Health & Safety
- Maintain and update health & safety documentation, policies, records, and registers
- Assist with RAMS administration and document control
- Record and monitor accidents, incidents, audits, inspections, and corrective actions
- Maintain employee, subcontractor, fleet, and operational compliance records
- Support operational teams with audit preparation and compliance administration
- Ensure records and documentation are accurate, organised, and auditable
Fleet & Equipment Coordination
- Coordinate vehicle servicing, MOTs, repairs, inspections, and maintenance schedules
- Maintain fleet, plant, and equipment compliance records
- Monitor service and inspection due dates
- Liaise with suppliers, garages, and service providers
Training Management
- Arrange and monitor employee training and refresher courses
- Maintain the company training matrix and training records
- Track certification expiry dates and ensure training compliance remains up to date
Operational Administration
- Provide administrative support across operational departments
- Organise digital filing systems and document management
- Support reporting, record keeping, and day-to-day operational coordination
- Assist with onboarding administration and internal compliance processes
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Experience working within a fast-paced office environment
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage workload independently and prioritise tasks effectively
- Good communication skills and confidence working with different departments
- Competent in Microsoft Office and digital record management systems
- Full UK driving licence
- Proactive, reliable, and solution-focused approach

Pay: £24,420.00-£30,000.00 per year
