Full job description

Position: Maintenance Engineer
Location: Elsham, North Lincolnshire

Salary & Benefits:

Salary up to £52,000 per annum
£3,000 joining bonus
£1,500 paid after 3 months
£1,500 paid after 6 months

Shift Pattern:

4 on / 4 off rotation (2 days, 2 nights)
Working hours: 7:00 – 7:00

This shift pattern allows you to enjoy extended time off—often a full week—while using fewer holiday days, giving you greater flexibility and an improved work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will:

Maintain, repair, and continuously improve a range of equipment and systems across the site
Ensure full compliance with health and safety standards and regulations
Work within a fast-paced manufacturing environment featuring 14 blown film extrusion lines and associated ancillary equipment
Carry out both preventative maintenance and respond efficiently to daily breakdowns
Support ongoing reliability and efficiency improvements across production

Ideal Candidate:

Broad engineering experience with a strong electrical bias
Proven ability to diagnose faults and carry out effective breakdown repairs
Proactive approach with the ability to use initiative to minimise production downtime
Experience in reactive maintenance, planned preventative maintenance (PPM), and project-based work
Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering (City & Guilds or equivalent)
Strong commitment to maintaining high health and safety standards
Flexible and willing to work overtime when required to support holiday cover
