£28,848 per annum (pro rata to £17308.80 per annum for 21 hours)

This is an essential post within our small team and the successful candidate will play a key role in developing and delivering our charity’s approach to fundraising and increasing our charity income. So if you have demonstrable experience and a track record of securing grants and delivering fundraising activities, then this role could be for you.
We know that our projects and fundraising activities make a huge difference to the people we are here to support and we want to improve the sustainability of the charity, increase the volume and value of our income so we can reach more people and increase our charity’s impact. The key purpose of the role is to support the development and successful implementation of a range of fundraising activities across a diverse fundraising portfolio for the charity.
Main responsibilities
1. Trusts & Foundations:
a. Undertake regular prospect and pipeline research and maintain grants pipeline using a variety of methods to identify potential funding streams and prioritise opportunities based around organisational need and funding criteria/deadlines.
b. Support the CEO in the preparation of high-quality funding bids.
c. Take lead and responsibility for compiling smaller funding bids (£10-20k) in support of bespoke work projects.
d. Maintain and manage effective electronic and paper-based records and filing systems in support of all fundraising activities including logging all decision and undertake the post-decision administration process for all Trust funding applications including thank you letters.
2. Reporting and Monitoring
a.Set up and service post-award internal meetings and six-monthly reviews of progress
b. Produce monthly data/management information reports
c. Ensure all relevant paperwork is completed to a high standard and in line with deadlines / T&Cs
d. Establish appropriate recording/reporting mechanisms in line with reporting requirements and support the development of outcome monitoring and impact analysis across our fundraising and service delivery functions
e. Support the drafting of reports for all grants, working closely with CEO and the Projects and Delivery Managers to ensure that these are produced in a timely manner and to a high standard.
f. Work closely with project teams, volunteers and beneficiaries to capture and write up case studies as well as record and monitor results against agreed outcomes.
3. Community Fundraising and Awareness Raising:
a. Assist in the planning and delivery of community-based fundraising and awareness raising events as well as beneficiary involvement initiatives, in support of the Community Engagement Co-ordinator.
b. Support the development of a rolling programme of community fundraising initiatives to support the charity’s fundraising development.
c. Assist in the preparation of mailshots, social media posts and digital marketing to raise awareness of services and the opportunities to develop the charity’s income.
d. To contribute to the development of new fundraising opportunities such as fundraising products.
e. Undertake accurate, reliable and consistent data entry and administrative support.
4. Legacies:
a. Support the development and delivery of an effective legacy-giving campaign
5. Corporate Support:
a. Support the development of stakeholder relationships via social media and face to face.
b. Support the development and implementation of a rolling programme of corporate engagement in line with fundraising priorities and emerging opportunities
6. General:
a. Work effectively and collaboratively with other staff and volunteers.
b. Abide by Green Synergy’s values, policies and endeavour to always follow good working practices, paying particular attention to Health and Safety, Safeguarding, Equality Diversity and Inclusion and Green Synergy’s values.
c. To undertake any other reasonable duties to support the charitable activities of Green Synergy, as may be requested by your line manager or CEO

This role is offered on a part-time basis (0.6FTE). Fixed Term to 30th September 2028 with possible extension of contract if funding secured based from our Charity Community Hub in Lincoln.
