Industrial Painter & Blaster
Location: Immingham
Job Duration: Initially 4-6 weeks.
ROLE INTRODUCTION
We are currently recruiting for an Industrial Painter/Blaster to join the Powertherm team. You will be preparing, coating, and finishing industrial surfaces to protect assets from corrosion, wear, and environmental damage. You’ll work across diverse industrial environments, applying specialist coatings to the highest safety and quality standards.

A typical day in your role as an Industrial Painter will involve:
· Prepare surfaces by cleaning, degreasing, shotblasting, water blasting, or using mechanical tools.
· Apply primers, paints, and specialist protective coatings by using airless spray equipment, rollers, or brushes.
· Follow manufacturer specifications and project requirements for correct coating application.
· Clean, maintain, and store spray machines, pumps, hoses, and related tools.
· Troubleshoot basic equipment issues to minimise downtime.
· Adhere to company safety procedures and industry regulations at all times.
· Handle hazardous materials safely and wear appropriate PPE.
· Work safely in confined spaces, at height, and in challenging industrial environments.
· Inspect completed work to ensure correct coating thickness, consistency, and coverage.
· Use tools such as wet film gauges and dry film thickness gauges to verify compliance.
· Ensure coatings meet quality standards.
Essential Skills & Experience:
· Strong knowledge of industrial paints, primers, and protective coating systems.
· Proficiency in airless spray application and other coating techniques.
· Understanding of surface preparation standards and coating specifications.
· Skilled in using inspection tools such as thickness gauges.
· Strong awareness of safety practices and hazardous material handling.
· Relevant training or certifications (e.g., Train the Painter).

Desirable Qualities:
· Full UK Driving License
