We are looking for a Cafe Supervisor to work in our family owned café. Working as part of a small friendly team this is a hands-on role so you will need to be proactive, highly motivated and organised and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Cooking experience would be essential, along with food safety knowledge. You will be required to work some weekends as well as week days, flexible shifts.
Duties include:
Preparing staff rotas.
Reconciliation of tills and preparation of floats
Manage a small team
Operate till to process sales transactions
Take customer orders
Serve food to tables
Ensuring the best possible customer service standards are maintained
Ensuring the front of house team work efficiently.
Ordering and maintaining stock levels to ensure good stock control.
Ensuring proper food handling, storage and cooking procedures where appropriate.
Complying with all food safety standards
Ensuring the front of house areas and kitchen are cleaned on a daily basis following cleaning schedules.
Wastage management
Teamworking
Skills needed:
Experience of supervising a café.
Excellent communication skills and able to work as part of a team
Experience of preparing food and cooking- essential.
Knowledge of Food Hygiene procedures
Professionalism and reliability
Remain calm under pressure
Good time management
Level 2 basic food hygiene as a minimum
Able to work alternate weekends or one day on each weekend.
