Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Saw Operator/Labourer to join our dynamic team. This role involves operating cutting equipment, assisting with fabrication tasks, and supporting the assembly of steel structures. If you enjoy hands-on work and have a keen eye for detail, this is an excellent opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Operate saws and cutting tools to accurately cut sheet metal and steel components according to specifications
Assist with fabrication processes such as grinding, welding, and assembly of steel parts
Use hand tools and tooling equipment to shape, finish, and prepare materials for installation or further processing
Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
Support the team with general labour tasks including material handling and site preparation
Perform basic measurements and calculations using math skills to ensure precise cuts and fits
Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines efficiently
Off loading deliveries using forklift truck.

Skills

Experience with fabrication, grinding, welding, and assembly techniques
Mechanical knowledge related to sheet metal work and steel fabrication processes
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and tooling equipment safely and effectively
Strong basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checks
Knowledge of safety procedures relevant to metalworking environments
Ability to interpret technical drawings or specifications is a plus
Good physical stamina for standing, lifting, and working in a busy workshop setting

Pay: £12.80 per hour

Work Location: In person
