House Manager / Host – Artist Residence Brighton

Are you a natural host with charisma, energy, and a love for creating unforgettable experiences? Do you thrive in buzzing spaces where service, atmosphere and genuine connection are everything? If so, we’d love you to join us as House Manager / Host at Artist Residence Brighton.

At Artist Residence, we like to think of ourselves as more than just a hotel – we’re a neighbourhood hangout, a creative hub, and a place where locals and travellers alike feel right at home. We’re looking for someone to bring real presence, charm and flair to the team, and to set the tone for magical guest experiences from check-in to cocktails.

What’s the Role?
This is a hands-on, guest-facing role where you’ll be right in the thick of it – creating a warm welcome, running smooth shifts, and keeping the energy high. You’ll be:

Hosting guests with charm, ease and genuine warmth
Bringing buzz and atmosphere to our cocktail bar, especially on busy nights
Working alongside our GM and team to make every service run seamlessly
Supporting across the floor - from check-ins and drinks service to creating that “Artist Residence vibe” that keeps people coming back
Driving sales naturally through great service and personality, never pushy – always authentic
Keeping a cool head and pragmatic approach while making it all look breezy and effortless

What We’re Looking For
We’re not hung up on hotel experience - what matters most is your ability to host, connect and create great vibes. You might come from a background as a maître d’, head waiter/waitress, host, in chalets or yachts - or anywhere that’s taught you how to look after people with style.

Natural energy, charisma and presence – you light up a room
Strong F&B or hospitality background with a love for food, drink & people
A ‘rockstar’ attitude – reliable, level-headed, pragmatic but with spark
Sales-savvy through service and personality
Flexible and adaptable – happy to work a mix of shifts (7am–4pm / 2pm–11pm)
Weekend availability is essential
