We are now looking for an outstanding Front of House Manager to join our team.
This is a key leadership position within the salon. You will be an excellent communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer experiences. You will be highly organised, commercially aware, a natural problem solver and confident leading from the front.
Working closely with our talented team of stylists and assistants, you will help drive performance, motivate the team, maximise productivity and ensure every client receives the premium service Electric is renowned for.
The Role
The Front of House Manager is the linchpin of the salon operation and plays a vital role in both the client experience and the financial performance of the business.
The reception desk sits at the heart of the salon, acting as the communication hub between clients, stylists and management. The successful candidate will ensure the salon operates smoothly, professionally and efficiently at all times whilst delivering a luxury client journey from arrival through to departure.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a warm, professional and luxury client experience at all times.
- Manage the daily salon flow, ensuring appointments are booked correctly, stylists remain on time and the client journey runs smoothly.
- Ensure the full salon team remains on brand and fulfils their responsibilities professionally, whether as stylists or assistants.
- Guide, motivate and support the salon team to achieve individual and salon performance targets.
- Support and uphold excellent consultations throughout the salon, ensuring clients receive tailored advice, product knowledge and long-term haircare guidance.
- Drive stylist productivity, rebooking, retail performance and weekly targets through strong diary management, organisation and communication throughout the salon day.
- Monitor stylist performance and help ensure all team members are working efficiently towards their service, retail and client retention goals.
- Maintain strong operational control of the reception desk, salon diary, client records and daily financial procedures.
- Complete daily cashing up and financial reconciliation accurately. All figures must balance correctly, and any discrepancies must be reported immediately with a clear explanation.
- Support the achievement of financial targets through effective diary management, rebooking, retail support and team organisation.
- Monitor the salon diary and productivity throughout the day, adjusting appointments and break times where necessary in the interest of maximising productivity and creating better use of available appointment time.
- Produce and maintain salon reports, productivity trackers and business information using Microsoft Excel and salon software systems.
- Assist with local marketing initiatives to drive new client acquisition, client retention and community engagement.
- Support the salon's social media activity, helping create content and promote the work of the team.
- Maintain high salon presentation standards and ensure the environment always reflects the premium nature of the Electric brand.
- Support stock control and maintain appropriate levels of retail, refreshments and salon supplies.
- Ensure health & safety procedures, salon protocols and working practices are consistently followed by the full team.
- Handle client concerns professionally and help maintain a positive, respectful and motivated salon environment.
- Proactively identify challenges within the business and implement practical solutions to ensure the smooth running of the salon.
