The role and responsibilities:
As a Strategic Business Manager within the Enforcement & Legal Group (ELG), you will play a key role in helping directors operate effectively and deliver on organisational priorities.
Combining high-quality executive support with strategic coordination, you will ensure directors are well prepared, well informed and able to focus on the work that matters most. You will manage diaries, meetings, correspondence and briefing materials, while also coordinating information, actions and priorities across the directorate.
Working closely with colleagues across ELG and the wider organisation, you will help maintain strong relationships, support governance processes and contribute to business planning activities. You will gather and synthesise information, prepare concise briefings, track key actions and support director-led initiatives.
By ensuring effective coordination and timely decision-making, your work will help strengthen the delivery of ELG’s objectives and support

Essential Criteria:
- Experience providing administrative or executive support to senior leaders, including diary, meeting and document management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise and accurate briefings.
- Ability to quickly gather, understand and synthesise information to support decision-making.
- Experience managing competing priorities and working effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently while responding flexibly to changing demands and priorities.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work collaboratively with people at all levels.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior colleagues and partners across government and the wider public sector.
- Experience handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion and sound judgement
