Hours: 37.5 hours, Mon – Friday
Location: Hybrid, 3 days per week at VHQ, Crawley
Contract: Maternity Cover Contract - 12 months

At Virgin Atlantic, we don’t just fly people around the world; we create experiences people love to talk about. We’re looking for a bold, culturally connected and creatively driven Social Media Manager – Influencer & Creator to take our influencer and creator strategy to the next level.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape how one of the world’s most iconic brands shows up across social. You’ll lead the development and execution of an industry-leading influencer and creator programme that builds brand love, drives engagement and inspires new and returning customers to choose Virgin Atlantic.

Working as part of the wider Social Media team and alongside brand, PR, media and agency partners, you’ll create standout social-first content, build meaningful creator relationships and help define the future of our social storytelling.

Day to day

Develop and deliver Virgin Atlantic’s influencer and creator strategy across the UK and key global markets
Identify and activate creator opportunities that amplify wider brand and marketing campaigns
Lead relationships with creator and media agencies to ensure creative excellence, strong ROI and continuous optimisation
Build and grow a curated network of creators and influencers aligned to our brand and audience
Create authentic, culturally relevant social-first content that drives awareness, engagement and advocacy
Partner closely with Organic and Paid Social teams to deliver integrated campaigns across channels
Track performance, analyse insights and translate learnings into clear actions and recommendations
Stay ahead of platform trends, algorithm updates and emerging creator opportunities across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and beyond

About you

You’ll be a social media expert with strong experience delivering influencer and creator activity for a major consumer brand or agency. You’ll combine strategic thinking with creative instinct and know how to turn trends, insights and cultural moments into impactful social content.

You’ll also bring:

Significant experience working in social media for leading large scale consumer brands
Demonstrable experience developing and executing high impact, creative influencer strategies that deliver strong ROI and work effectively within a wider marketing strategy
A deep understanding of social platforms, content formats and evolving best practice
Demonstrate a strong understanding of how to translate consumer insight and spot wider social trends to understand if, how and why they can be applied to our brand
Strong creative judgement and the ability to give clear, constructive feedback
A deep understanding of the social media landscape, platforms, algorithms and best practice including expertise in (but not limited to) Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
Experience managing agencies and external partners
Confidence using data and performance insights to optimise activity and demonstrate ROI
The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
