Immediate Start: Experienced Sewing Machinist – £21 per hour
We’re looking for an experienced sewing machinist to join us immediately at our creative live events design studio.
The work involves making PVC waterproof covers with Velcro, mostly sewing straight lines using Jack F6 industrial sewing machines.
Details: £21 per hour Immediate start. Work available until 10th June, with the chance to continue afterwards. Based in a friendly fun and creative studio environment
Requirements

Responsibilities
- Operate various sewing machines to assemble, repair, and finish garments or textile products
- Follow detailed patterns and specifications to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met
- Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality requirements
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Assist with inventory management by organising materials and supplies within the warehouse
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines efficiently
- Report any machine malfunctions or safety concerns promptly to supervisors
Skills
- Proven experience in sewing, with the ability to operate different types of sewing machines confidently
- Warehouse experience is desirable, demonstrating organisational skills and familiarity with inventory procedures
- Strong attention to detail to ensure precision in stitching and finishing work
- Good organisational skills and ability to work efficiently within a team environment
- Ability to follow technical instructions accurately and adapt to different sewing tasks as required
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of quality in all tasks undertaken
