Security Operations Manager (Mid-Level Management)
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Location: Head Office in Surrey, with regular travel across the South East, Hampshire, and Brighton

About the Role
NDST is expanding and we are seeking an experienced and driven Security Operations Manager to join our leadership team. This role plays a key part in overseeing our Night-Time Economy (NTE) venues, event security operations, and internal compliance functions.
You’ll work across a fast-paced and varied portfolio including pubs, clubs, hospitality sites, festivals, stadia, and large-scale events. This is an excellent opportunity for an established operations professional looking to take the next step in their security management career.
Departments & Focus Areas
This role will be aligned across the following divisions, depending on your experience:
Operations Manager – Night-Time Economy (NTE)
Managing NDST’s NTE sites including bars, pubs, clubs, late-night venues, and hospitality partners across the South East.
Operations Manager – Events
Overseeing event deployments including festivals, sporting venues, concerts, and one-off security contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead departmental operations, ensuring high-quality service delivery and staff welfare.
- Conduct site visits, oversee live deployments, and manage incident response.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, venues, and licensing bodies.
- Oversee recruitment pipelines, ensuring adequate staffing for all deployments.
- Manage rostering, monitoring budgets and cost control measures.
- Ensure compliance with all SIA, H&S, and venue licensing requirements.
- Produce accurate internal reports, audits, and operational updates.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on operational strategy, staff development, and process improvements.
Experience & Skills Required
- Significant experience managing live operations within the security sector.
- Strong understanding of risk assessments, SIA regulations, and client care standards.
- Competence in workforce planning, scheduling, and budget oversight.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends when operationally required.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.
- Working knowledge of compliance frameworks and licensing requirements.
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
- Highly proficient in Microsoft 365 and digital workforce management tools.
- Desirable: H&S Qualification, Safety Stewarding Qualification Level 3+ / Spectator Safety Level 3+, Crowd management qualification
