Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Volunteers to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals looking to make a positive impact in the community while gaining valuable experience. As a Volunteer, you will support our minibus drivers in making sure our SEN service users are getting home safely and comfortably during their journey, contributing your time and skills to help us achieve our mission.

Responsibilities

Ensuring their is a comfortable environment.
Ensuring that everyone is wearing seatbelts.
Helping service users on and off the bus.
Keeping an eye out for signs of possible seizures or epileptic fits.

Experience

Previous volunteer experience is advantageous but not essential.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written for any reports or incidents on the bus, as well as letting day centre staff know the minibuses whereabouts while the driver is driving.
A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills especially training in seeing the signs to seizures and epileptic fits.
Flexibility in working hours, as some events may require evening or weekend availability.
