Full job description

We're looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Coach to join our team from December 2026 to cover maternity leave.

This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a well-established CrossFit affiliate with an incredible community and a strong coaching culture. We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys coaching, cares about helping people improve, and takes pride in delivering a first-class member experience.

The Role

This is a self-employed position covering approximately 5 shifts per week.

We're flexible with which shifts are covered, but they will consist of a mixture of weekday mornings and evenings.

Morning Shift

6:00am – 10:30am

Evening Shift

4:00pm – 7:30pm
(until 8:30pm on Mondays and Wednesdays)

There will also be opportunities to coach weekend sessions:

Saturday: 8:00am – 10:00am
Sunday: 8:00am – 10:00am

Responsibilities

You'll be responsible for:

Coaching professionally programmed group classes.
Delivering one-to-one Beginner Sessions for new members.
Providing excellent movement coaching, scaling and technical instruction.
Creating a welcoming, supportive and motivating environment.
Keeping the gym clean, tidy and well presented throughout your shift.
Helping maintain the high coaching standards and friendly community we're known for.

What We're Looking For Essential

A recognised coaching qualification (Level 2 Gym Instructor, Level 3 Personal Trainer, Strength & Conditioning qualification, CrossFit qualification or equivalent).
Previous coaching experience leading groups and/or one-to-one sessions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Confident coaching people of all ages and abilities.
Professional, reliable and punctual.
A genuine passion for helping people improve their health, fitness and confidence.

Desirable

Experience coaching functional fitness or CrossFit-style training.
Be good with social media
CrossFit Level 1 (or higher).
First Aid qualification.
Experience working with beginners.
