As demand for our products continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our professional and highly skilled welding team. You'll play a key role in manufacturing our luxury, bespoke strength equipment, producing industry-leading products to the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
We'll provide the training, support and tools needed to achieve the Watson Gym Equipment standard, but we're looking for someone who already has a solid foundation as a competent MIG Welder/Fabricator.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work safely at all times, following company procedures and maintaining a clean, organised work area.
- Fabricate and MIG weld premium strength training equipment using laser-cut steel sections, plate work and precision-manufactured components, all supplied by our in-house machine shop, working from drawings to create industry-leading finished products.
- Weld both pre-prepared fabrications and partially robot-welded components into completed products, ensuring exceptional accuracy, strength and finish.
- Prepare, grind and finish welded fabrications using a range of workshop tools to meet Watson Gym Equipment's high standards.
- Safely handle and move larger fabrications and completed equipment throughout the manufacturing process.
- Develop your skills and experience, with the opportunity to progress onto increasingly complex fabrications.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has a minimum of 2 years' recent MIG welding and fabrication experience (or can prove competency during a weld and fabrication test)
- Works safely and takes pride in maintaining a clean, organised workspace.
- Produces consistently high-quality work with excellent attention to detail.
- Works efficiently while maintaining exceptional standards.
- Is proactive in identifying and solving problems.
- Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively with Team Leaders and colleagues.
- Takes pride in producing premium products and is committed to continuous improvement.
Working Hours:
Monday – Thursday: 7:00am – 4:45pm
Friday: 7:00am – 12:15pm
Total Paid Hours: 43
Regular overtime opportunities are available and paid at time and a half.
