We are on the hunt for an additional Assistant Manager to join our fabulous team. We are a lovely traditional Wadworth’s pub, benefitting from a fantastic setting next to the canal, with a large beer garden.
We are all about wowing our customers with amazing customer service; going above and beyond expectations. We need all of our customers to leave the pub with a smile on their face. This means consistently high standards and flawless service as well as undertaking regular daily and weekly cleaning tasks to keep the premises looking its best
A good knowledge of cask ales, wine & food would be great but full training will be given on site.
Duties will be varied and include assisting with all aspects of cellar management, staff management, food service & menu involvement, back office duties & statutory procedures and stock control. In addition, you will be responsible with another Assistant manager for deputising in the absence of the General Managers.
You will:
- Offer a proven background ideally gained at Supervisory or Assistant Manager level, with good working knowledge of the industry
- Be passionate about our high quality offer of fresh food, great wine and cask conditioned ales
- Cost control including ensuring team correctly manage stock and wastage, costs, and monitoring other outgoings
- Health & Safety
- People management including motivating, delegating and training the team.
- Ensuring the business meets company service and quality standards
- Have the ability to train and deliver exemplary service standards
- Possess the skills and personality to lead, inspire and work well within our team of staff
- Be flexible and committed
- Have a genuine desire to learn and progress your skills
- The position is live out and we are hoping to find someone dedicated and flexible, who will bring with them some great ideas and a drive to deliver the best in customer service.
