Working alongside insurers, loss adjusters and national restoration networks, Restoraction has built an outstanding reputation for delivering high-quality restoration services, often involving complex losses and high-value properties.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Damage Restoration Technician to join the Restoraction team. About the Role
This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You'll restore homes and commercial properties following fire, flood and escape of water incidents, working across the Bristol, Gloucestershire and North Somerset area .
Typical duties include:
- Water damage restoration and structural drying
- Fire and smoke damage cleaning
- Specialist cleaning and restoration
- Moisture monitoring, recording and reporting
- Setting up, monitoring and removing drying equipment
- Liaising with customers, insurers and loss adjusters
- Producing accurate reports and job records
- Working independently and collaboratively with the wider team
Working Hours
40 hours per week - Monday to Friday (on-site): 8:00am – 5:00pm
As we support a variety of domestic and commercial clients, there may occasionally be opportunities for early morning, evening, or overnight work. Any additional hours are paid as overtime, with suitable rest periods provided. We’re looking for someone who can offer a degree of flexibility when needed.
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- A minimum of two years' experience in damage restoration
- IICRC and/or BDMA accreditation
- Experience managing restoration projects within residential and commercial properties
- A good understanding of building construction
- Experience writing reports and maintaining accurate records
- A basic understanding of maths and the sciences
- Good IT skills and confidence using digital systems
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A professional, empathetic approach when dealing with customers during difficult situations
- The ability to work independently and use your own initiative, as well as part of a team
- A full UK driving licence
- Physical fitness suitable for manual work
- The ability to successfully complete a DBS check
