About this role

This role is part of the Skills Team, which includes a range of university products including apprenticeships, continuing professional development (CPD), and externally funded skills initiatives. As a Project Coordinator you will play a pivotal role in supporting the operational delivery, reporting, and governance of key funded skills projects, as identified by the Skills Development and Growth Manager.

For this fixed-term position the role will be supporting the UK innovate Robotics Adoption Programme Skills Development project. This is a 6-month externally funded project which will see the design, delivery, evaluation and commercialisation of a new 10-week training programme for SMEs in Ready Robotics Workforce: Agentic AI for Accessible Industrial Robotics Adoption

This role will working closely with our academic project lead to ensure that the project is efficiently planned, executed, and monitored to achieve the funder objectives, maintaining compliance with funding requirements and institutional policies and ensuring timely delivery of project milestones and contractual deliverables. This includes overseeing day-to-day project operations, managing marketing, recruitment and participant engagement, liaising with the academic/ facilitator team, and ensuring project outcomes and KPIs are met and recorded correctly.

About you

We are looking for a positive and proactive team player who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced team, contributing to the success of our skills programme delivery. As a Project Coordinator you will demonstrate strong organisational skills and attention to detail, working closely with colleagues to ensure a smooth process from project initiation to successful completion.

You will be expected to work to strict and demanding deadlines, solving problems and providing agile project support along the way, taking the initiative in developing processes and procedures that ensures projects are delivered effectively and to our funder requirements.

You will have strong communication skills, capable of clearly articulating programme needs to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders both verbally and through written reports, along with a strong customer service ethos to ensure a positive experience of for learners and businesses.

Where you will be working

UWE Bristol is a campus-based University, with vibrant campus communities that are central to student life.

In this role, you’ll be based at our modern Frenchay Campus where we’ve invested in state-of-the-art facilities designed to help both staff and students succeed.

You’ll spend most of your time on campus, typically 60 percent of your time, with the opportunity to work from home on the remaining days.

Due to this being externally funded, the contract dates are fixed and we will need the successful candidate to ideally start no later than mid August.

Shortlisting is expected to be completed within 1 week of the closing date depending on application volumes. We aim to give candidates at least a week's notice to attend interview.

This is a full-time, fixed-term post until 31 January 2027, working 37 hours per week.

Salary offers are made in line with the University’s salary assessment guidelines, reflecting your relevant skills and experience in parity with colleagues.
