Full Time, Fixed Term for 12 months to cover a secondment.

Are you looking to make a difference to the lives of homeless young people in Bristol? Are you enthusiast, driven and solution focussed? This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a collaborative effort to help young people gain the support and skills they need to move on to living independently.

We are looking for a Young Peoples’ Move-On Coordinator to develop and deliver workshops and specialist support to professionals working with young people in homelessness services to enable them to access a variety of long term ‘move-on’ accommodation options. In addition, you will raise awareness of the range of move-on options for specific groups of young people, including Care Leavers, Children in Care, young people who are homeless and Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children.

With a large proportion of young people in our homeless services ready for independent living, you will need to engage with private landlords, registered providers and charities to maximise the move-on options available to young people. You will be instrumental in developing a model to enable young people to self-serve into self-contained and shared accommodation. Working closely with Commissioners in Housing Options and Children’s Services and the Private Renting Team you will assist in creating a fluid housing pathway for homeless young people.

You should have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be willing to travel to young peoples’ services throughout the city, many of which are near the city centre.
