Salary: £36,068 - £46,419 depending on experience + benefits

Location: Bristol, Hybrid working 2 days on site per week

We’re looking for a detail-driven and collaborative Management Accountant to join our Finance team, focusing on grants and audit activity. This is a great opportunity to play a key role in ensuring our grant-funded programmes are accurate, compliant and well managed – while working closely with teams across the organisation.

What you’ll be doing

Owning end-to-end grant claim processes, ensuring submissions are accurate, compliant and delivered on time
Managing calculations, reporting and reconciliations for grant-funded activity
Partnering with project, PMO and finance colleagues to improve the accuracy and efficiency of grant processes
Supporting external audits, acting as a key contact for auditors and providing required information
Producing grant rate calculations (labour, equipment and overheads) in line with funder requirements
Monitoring grant spend and providing regular updates to budget holders
Delivering monthly reconciliations between the General Ledger and grant claims
Providing wider support across Finance, including statutory audit activity and ad hoc reporting

What we’re looking for

Part-qualified or qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
Experience working with large data sets to produce accurate financial outputs
Strong analytical skills with a “right-first-time” mindset
Experience supporting audits, compliance or working with auditors
Confident communicator, able to explain complex financial information clearly
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across teams
Organised and adaptable, able to manage multiple priorities to tight deadlines

Desirable:

Experience in a project or grant-funded environment
Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365 F&O)
